The past two weeks at Tripp Lake have flown by in a whirlwind of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. We’ve been embracing every moment and keeping both our campers and staff buzzing with energy—and now we’re thrilled to bring you a special two-week recap!
Thank you to all the families who joined us in the Promised Land for Visiting Day! The excitement was undeniable as campers eagerly awaited the arrival of their loved ones. Watching them proudly share their home-away-from-home was truly heartwarming. The joy, hugs, and reconnections made for a day we’ll never forget.
As Visiting Day came to a close, our staff gathered under the trees to comfort and support our campers through the bittersweet goodbyes. During this time, many of our girls showed admirable strength and empathy as they cheered up younger campers, hugged their friends, and offered words of understanding and encouragement. It is in those moments that we see the sisterhood and friendship unique to our Tripp Lakers shine the brightest. Thanks to their combined efforts, spirits lifted quickly and campers jumped right back into the fun with one of our most beloved traditions: Hunt the Counselor.
In a blur of matching team colors, campers dashed across camp, determined to track down the best-hidden staff. There was just enough time for the Giants to celebrate their victories before it was time to head to campus for our “Snake dance” to reveal the staff for long trips. Following a few fake-outs, the girls were thrilled to know the details of their trips and begin packing.
Beginning Saturday morning, our older girls were off to start their travels and embark on long trips.
- Inter IIs and IIIs headed into the wild for camping and white-water rafting adventures.
- Inter Is explored beautiful Camden, Maine.
- Senior 1s visited Bar Harbor.
- Senior 2s finally made their way to Quebec, after plenty of dining hall chants—“We’re going to Quebec!”—turning dreams into reality.
While the older campers were off exploring, the younger ones ruled camp! Little Teams dove into Junior Special Day, the Liz Kahnival, the Wacked-Up Relay, and more—all with incredible team spirit and enthusiasm.
As campers and counselors began returning from their trips, we heard stories of memories that will last a lifetime. There were escape rooms, ropes courses, shopping sprees, and lots of yummy meals. 1AB splashed through Canada’s largest water park and braved a ghost tour while Senior 1s and Inter Is took to the water for scenic kayaking and boat tours. To top it off, just days after returning home, our Inter Is gave the Seniors a sweet surprise with breakfast in bed and a heartfelt serenade during Senior Serving.
Just when it seemed camp couldn’t get busier—we launched into Mini-Camps for field hockey, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and lacrosse. Our calendar stayed packed with Intercamp games, Hype Dance, All-Star Basketball, Little Team Tennis, and a big team Swim Meet. We also gathered in the theater to enjoy outstanding performances of Finding Nemo (Inter IIIs) and Footloose (Subs).
As we enter Week 6, excitement is building for some of the biggest events of the summer. From Sing Song to Team Feast to Banquet, the energy is electric and the campers are giving it their all. We can’t wait to soak up every moment, side by side with these incredible girls.
